    Hello everyone.

    A question I have been wondering about for some time now has to do with reading music that is not written for the ukulele. I am at a point now where I understand how to pick a simple ukulele tablature, such as:

    C C Am Am C C Am Am
    xA|—-3—–3—–0—–0—–3—–3—–0—–0—-|
    xE|—0-0—0-0—0-0—0-0—0-0—0-0—0-0—0-0—|

    (much more easily with the chords written up above the tab)

    Some of the songs I would like to learn do not have ukulele tabs written for them, but do have guitar tabs:

    Is there a method for creating a ukulele tab from a guitar tab, or otherwise translating this notation to the ukulele?

    Hi! There is no easy way to convert guitar tabs to ukulele tabs unfortunately. If it’s easy, I do try to convert them before I put them on UkuTabs, but generally it requires to go over it note by note and see how and where you can play that note on the ukulele fretboard, so quite a hassle.

    I do have a very rudimentary script which can convert tabs, but it needs some finetuning 🙂
